Description
On offer is another great album extracted by anaesthetic from my personal vinyl collection purchased during the 1960s &1970s. This time its another one of those ground breaking German progressive rock masterpieces. The record in question is the debut album from Ash Ra Tempel simply titled "ASH RA TEMPEL", this original first pressing was released during 1971 on the OHR/METRONOME label OMM 556.013.
CONDITION; Without beating around the proverbial bush I am going to cut to the chase and say that in all respects this record together with all packaging is just stunning! The vinyl has a super deep gloss there are no surface marks that I can see(LOOKING UNDER A STRONG LIGHT) the labels appear as new except for the half dozen or so almost invisible spindle marks. The inner sleeve is of transparent plastic is D shaped with a small amount of natural creasing. The front opening cover, which is a work of art in itself, exhibits a minimum of edge wear; at the top right hand of the back a tiny circular index sticker has been removed and left a visible white line approx a pencil width in length.
In respect of a grade I have no hesitation in saying it has to merit a very strong all round EXCELLENT, anything better would have to be declared MINT! in my honest opinion. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the sound quality, audio playback is JUST SUPERB!
I should think you would have to go a long way to find a better copy than the one on offer here!!!! I have used the Record Collector grading system when giving the EXCELLENT rating.
