Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Jesper Kyd, Sarah Schachner and Einar Selvik
FEATURES
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes place toward the end of the ninth century, a time when Norse tribes were leaving their homes in Scandinavia and sailing to the collection of fractured kingdoms known as Anglo-Saxon England. It’s here, during this age of transition, that you’ll take on the role of Eivor and lead your people to a new land in the search for a new home. As you embark on Valhalla’s epic Viking journey, you’ll lead deadly raiding parties, fight in massive battles, and build up a prosperous settlement, all within the historical backdrop of ninth century England.
The player controls Eivor, a Viking raider who becomes embroiled in the conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order.
Score by Danish composer Jesper Kid (Assassin’s Creed: 2, Borderlands 3, State of Decay 2, Warhammer: Vermintide 2) and American composer Sarah Schachner (Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Anthem), with Norwegian black metal drummer Einar Selvik (Vikings, Gorgoroth & Wardruna - bands) teamed with the pair to create original songs for the soundtrack
Quotes;
"Valhalla marks the first time the two of them have worked together, and the sheer size and scale of the Viking-themed soundtrack is all the better for it.” (re: Sarah & Jesper) spin
"Kyd and Schachner’s work on the Assassin’s Creed series is beloved.” playstationlifestyle.net
" one of the world’s most incredible young gaming composers” (re: Sarah) forbes
"Jesper Kyd’s… atmospheric tones are as instantly recognisable as the satisfying clunk of everyone’s favourite murder gauntlet.” videogameschronicle
"Now, not only do gamers get to become a buff blonde with a sweet axe, but they get to do it all to the musical styling of three very specifically seasoned pros.” thegamer
