Liner Notes:
"BOMBORA was one of 1963's biggest local Australian hits—a record that made Australian surfing music history and also established THE ATLANTICS as one of the country's leading instrumental groups. 1963 was a big year for THE ATLANTICS. They signed up with CBS early during the year and since then have had their recordings released all over the world—including U.S.A. This E.P. features four of the best tracks from their highly successful BOMBORA L.P. All the numbers were written by the boys themselves.
A beautiful summer morning with light off shore winds, endless lines of glassy swells moving through warm, crystal clear water. This is a SURFER'S PARADISE.
The little figure hanging ten, hot dogging in the curl, bleached hair flying, red baggies flapping in the wind as he crouches in the tube. This is the GREMLIN KING.
Every year they arrive, with the first strong nor'easters of summer, blue sails bobbing in the wind, long stingers trailing behind them. The surfer howls and curses the "Sting Beasties", "Bighties" or "Monsters from the Deep" but the BLUEBOTTLES bob serenely along until they are eventually washed up on a distant beach.
Whether you like to just listen, or dance you're sure to enjoy the wild sound of THE ATLANTICS."
