Description

An original 1st press of DWBY on the B&C label from 1970. Matrix 1U/1U. Stampers 1P/1H - which infers this copy is from within the 1st few thousand copies ever made. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. We also have the original generic white inner. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can make out a few very insignificant marks per side - nothing that's going to cause issue at all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. There's good reason for insisting on 1st issue on this title - the early copies were pressed heavy with very fine audio. Add to that that this copy is coming very close off the original master - and you're really onto something. The audio is breath-taking at times. It has the power and energy to convey this title to full effect. It also has the deft and accuracy and quiet background to convey the ambience and mood in the low-key moments. Basically - it's an all rounder.... just what someone with audio at the top of their shopping list needs to be concentrating on. I love it...and am struggling to find fault. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in one isolated moment per side. A belter and would be an excellent addition to anyone's collection.
Cover (Vg+) A total pain to find in anything approaching decent condition. Start by comparing this copy with other ones out there on line - you'll get a gist for how this title is fussy! But I have to say this example is looking in rather rude health. It's not totally devoid of the surface wear that afflicts this title - but it's much better preserved than on most copies. Front and back look smart with nice blacks and only minor handling. The interior looks superb. Edge wear is mostly minor - bit more on the bottom edge. But it looks like someone has inked it - and to be fair...has done a very decent job of it [it doesn't notice]. The spine is in really excellent order - most copies will never look that good. Hardly any wear and all text perfectly legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity - in part thanks to the heavy card employed in manufacture. Very impressive.
