Description

In Hearing of is the third album by British rock band Atomic Rooster. Although not included on the album, "The Devil's Answer" single was released just prior to it, becoming the band's highest chart success at number 4 in the UK. This helped push the album to a number 18 UK chart placing, despite the fact that the four musicians pictured on the inside cover never played together. The backing tracks (and some vocals) were recorded by Vincent Crane, John Cann and Paul Hammond, but Cann and Hammond left the group soon after vocalist Pete French was drafted in. The finished album's sound was dominated by Crane and Hammond, with many of Cann's guitar parts either not used or placed lower in the mix.

Prog archives:" This is one of my all-time fave. The power and climates on this slice of vinyl always fascinated me as this is among the very first albums I listened to (I think I stole that one but the shop owner was a real asshole, anyway) and I still do almost every two months or so. This is the only Rooster album to have the same cover (Roger Dean) on both side of the Atlantic. The line-up of the previous album was augmented with the fantastic singer Pete French - from Leafhound and future-Cactus (along with some members Of Vanilla Fudge) - but this line-up will not last as this album was not yet finished that they had broken up, leaving Crane to finish up."

Bid with confidence. I am a long time record collector and digger, never sold online in the past but don't worry I love records and know what I'm doing. I grade critically and honestly under proper lighting, properly clean, upgrade inner sleeves, play grade on a Technics 1200 and mail in brand new Sleeve City mailers with filler pads. All samples posted are from actual record, no noise correction is used. Feel free to ask me any questions about deadwax stamper info, condition or other details not listed. Can try to accommodate any alternate or international shipping requests if you want to pay whatever my costs are for it.
