Audioslave is the eponymous debut studio album by the American rock supergroup, originally released on November 19, 2002. Formed from the legendary combination of Soundgarden's lead singer Chris Cornell and the instrumental powerhouse of Rage Against the Machine—Tom Morello (guitar), Tim Commerford (bass), and Brad Wilk (drums)—the album represents a historic bridge between 90s grunge and revolutionary funk-metal.

Musically, the album is a tour de force produced by the renowned Rick Rubin, characterized by Cornell’s soaring, four-octave vocal range and Morello's innovative, non-traditional guitar effects. Upon its release, it was a major critical and commercial triumph, eventually earning a three-times platinum certification from the RIAA. The tracklist is anchored by generation-defining rock anthems including "Cochise," "Show Me How to Live," and the melancholic masterpiece "Like a Stone," which earned a 2004 Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance.

This 2025 Reissue marks a return to vinyl for the classic debut, presented as a double LP to allow for optimal sound quality across the 14-track project. It is pressed on 150-gram black vinyl and features the original iconic cover art by Storm Thorgerson. Optimized for 33 1/3 RPM playback, this edition offers a high-fidelity experience of one of the most significant rock albums of the early 2000s.
