GRADING

Most items I list have a minimum age of 40 years.

Gradings below are MY INTERPRETATIONS ONLY and an OVERALL grade for the item/s however, when the item is especially scarce or rare, I will use very SPECIFIC gradings (ie Records - where the cover, record & the label have separate grades).

I have a tendency to UNDERGRADE more often than not and my feedback reflects the confidence collectors have with my items BUT, if you find that there is a discrepancy with your item when you receive it ….. PLEASE ADVISE.

Our records are old & usually have dirt, dust &/or grime build-up in the grooves from poor storage or not being played, sometimes for years

Wash record using normal mild household dishwashing liquid and play it a few times to improve the quality.

WASHED, CLEANED RECORDS WILL NOT RETURN TO NEW.

10 (Mint)

I will never use this grade (unless FACTORY SEALED ONLY) as I believe if it’s been bought before - it’s secondhand now

9 (Ex+)

no flaws - high sheen to covers & records - sharp corners - bright clean graphics - any pictures are totally centralized - labels unmarked

8 (Ex)

VERY MINUTE corner creases - no scuffs & no visual playwear - VERY minor label wear on high points - may have neat writing on cover / label

7 (Ex-)

VERY LIGHT playwear - 1 or 2 visible small LIGHT scuffs on a record &/or storage wear, label still unmarked - small corner bumps - minor discolouration due to age

6 (VGood+)

light playwear to a record, no significant scratches / label marks - a few minor creases with light to moderate storage / age wear & minor spine wear to covers

5 (Vgood)

Noticeable playwear to the record but no major defect with playing, moderate rubbing or storage/age wear, tape &/or residue to label / cover - writing on covers - spine wear - minor stains - moderate creasing - may be slightly warped, the arm may ride up and down but will not jump or effect play

4 (Good)

moderate to heavy playwear on a record effecting play / sound quality- may be warped, the arm may ride up and down & may jump or effect play - heavy or multi writings on cover / labels - covers are starting to deteriorate - heavy dog ears, storage/age wear - paper loss - spine deteroration

records make good frisbies. If you still play with toys… let the rugrat / s play too. If you don’t have any …borrow some - - consider startin the Barby with the covers

Unless it’s rare as, you gotta be bloody desperate . If you are going to pay me for it you are obviously a politician & as I’m a tax payer & you’re wasting MY money again that means I’m not actually getting paid for it at all !!

I specialize in 50s 60s & 70s Music, Television, Film & Entertainment memorabilia. My 3 bay shed is full of stuff to go as well as being a Mini Museum of my personal collection (NOT FOR SALE)

I am not a dealer & this is only a hobby for me to improve my personal collection by selling off unwanted items so if you require further information - PLEASE ASK as there are items I may not be too familiar with and if you can help then I’m more the wiser for it.

CONSIGNMENT ITEMS

I live in a small semi-rural township with a lot of elderly people & pensioners who either do not have the funds for a computer or they have no idea how to use one.

Like so many others, they always need some extra money therefore I occasionally sell their goods for them.

The end price set on an item is the price the current owner would like to reach &, as I start with low opening bids, the owners reserve the right to :

withdraw this item prior to end of auction

pass in the item at the close of auction

if their expected price has not been reached.

If this happens, bidders can contact this seller for re-listing details.

I admit to being pedantic when packing and I use a variety of materials, including new and recycled. EVERY EFFORT is made to ensure that the item you have bought gets to you in the same condition as it leaves here (see comments on my feedback).

Because I pack this way, it can, unfortunately, COST A BIT EXTRA & for that, I MAKE NO APOLOGY. HOWEVER, if you need a cheaper alternative (e.g. books posted in normal envelope with NO extra protection which will keep the weight down) I will do it that way for you but please realise that the item MAY GET DAMAGED IN TRANSIT and I will accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for the condition it arrives in.

I do add a $1.50 SURCHARGE for the packaging materials & handling to cover my costs HOWEVER…. The charge DOES NOT apply to items that require no excessive protection ie cards - small paper products - filler items etc

I am happy to combine items to save you postage. Please let us know your preference, if you have one, before we pack!

My primary collection is U.K. music memorabilia of the MERSEYBEAT era to include books, magazines, ephemera and especially CARDS.

My secondary collection is AUSTRALIAN music content to include the same as above.

Some of the card sets and memorabilia I need will NOT realize high market values however, for me to complete an individual collection, I will be more than happy to be negotiable on a price …. but not gullible.

I have a lot of memorabilia between the late 1930s to the 80s and I am ALWAYS open to SWAP some of that for what I really want.
