Description
For sale is an original pressing of Terry Callier's rare 1972 album What Color Is Love on Cadet Records. The catalog number is CA 50019. This is not a reissue.
I conservatively grade on a NM, VG+, VG, VG-, G scale. The record itself is NM. It looks unplayed. It's not, though; I played it using a Shure m97xe cartridge, and it sounded brand new. It's beautiful.
The cover has a small amount of shelfwear (see photos) and also has a return address sticker featuring the old address of the original owner of this record. I grade it as VG+. The original owner's name was Dolan. He was my neighbor. He used to play cello in jazz bands in Chicago (where Terry Callier lived) in the 1970s. Presumably, this is how the album became autographed with the inscription, "To my friend and first cellist -- all the best -- Terry C." (see photo).
