Description
A Souvenir Programme for the Radio England Swinging 66 tour. Signed by the following artists on their photos:- SMALL FACES, DAVE BERRY, NEIL CHRISTIAN, THE KOOBAS, THE LIMEYS.
Also contains photos of the other artists on the tour :- Crispian St. Peters, Wayne Fontana, and the Boss Jocks who were Ron O' Quinn, Larry Dean, Roger Day & Jerry Smithwick.
Programme cover is coming apart from the bottom to the first staple but inside programme is in good condition. In fading ink when I bought the programme I wrote. " I didn't go to this but sent for it". For some reason I Can't remember after all these years I put ticks & crosses in ballpoint pen against some of the names that are listed as attending Radio Englands Party of the Year.
Radio England was a fairly short lived pirate radio station based in the South-East of England. When they arranged this tour they found tickets didn't sell well for the North of England dates as the station could not be heard up there. To try to cut some of the tour losses they sold of these autographed programmes after the tour. This information is on website - Pirate Radio Hall of Fame.
I was teenager at the time & sent for the programme.
