Description

Axel Gran - Halvegs uten navn (bill.mrk. diskresjon) (BATLP 0001)

This is a very rare private pressing album from Norway. It is on the obscure BAT records label. There were two releases on this label: this one and AKASHA, a classic psychedelic album. The sleeve is in excellent+ condition and the record is in mint condition. Has the lyric sheet. Musically it is psychedelic hippie folk with electric backing. You don´t notice a gay influence as all the lyrics are in Norwegian. VERY hard to find as there was hardly any distribution. It just never turns up.

Here is a translation from a blog from Norway:
"In addition, he was part-time teacher of music at the local high school. As vice songs he appeared mostly in clubs and festivals in the middle of Troms .  Most famous was NOK for most people who advocate for gay rights. HHe took part eagerly in debates in both public forums and in newspapers' letters columns. With going out as openly gay in a small community that Skogn on Senja , he was NOK mistenkeligjort, but also respected for his courage.  It was NOK important to many hidden gays / lesbians / bisexuals that Gran asked to cut for himself and them. Based on this commitment was natural NOK his texts characterized. His debut album is also something as rare as Norway's first theme lp about homosexuality.  The album does indeed several aspects of problem vacancies was and is important for gays. The texts were then also attached to the plate as a separate attachment. The album was recorded at Skogn use art in late September / October 1976, with the following musicians, in addition to Gran (guitar / synth / vocals) himself; Michal Eriksen (percussion) Søren Hjorth (guitar / clarinet / sax) Otto Stefanussen (bass / guitar) Inger Strand (song, and the creator of "Not like us") and Håvard Sørensen (percussion). Olaf Eriksen, Tore Steffanussen technicians while the latter was also the producer.  Musically, one can safely anchor this release that show rock. Although production on the audio side is not the whole world, due to poor recording equipment, so it is not so bad that the disc is useless. Cover is in black / white with a small picture in the middle of the cover. The layout is tasteful without being intrusive fancy in any way. By studio musicians, it is worth noting that Eriksen had previously played together with Tore Stefanussen Mata hari. Hart has since starred in Studio 80, while Otto was Stefanussen Tore Stefanussen s brother. If you want to read more go to the translation of the article on Bat records. Read the whole article.
