About Me
I've been collecting records for over 45 years and I have a collection of over 30,000 pieces. All the records I sell are test played and graded based on the 10 point scale below. I will list all auctions beginning at $0.99, it's not really an auction if I begin it at $10 or $20 or more. I don't believe in price guides, they are only good for getting a discography and an idea of rarity. The records are worth whatever they sell for. My goal is to sell records, accurately described, and have satisfied repeat customers. If there are any problems, email me and I will do my best to rectify things. For those who have bought records from me - Thank you!
Pictures
Photos are of the actual item being sold. I will picture the front of the cover, back of the cover, one side of the inner sleeve (unless it is a plain white sleeve), and each record label. The photos are made on a scanner, cover and sleeve photos are done in 2 parts and then put together, so sometimes it shows where the two halves were put together.
Grading
Grading scale is based on the standard Goldmine grades on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being from the factory mint and 1 being just about trash. M/10 = perfect, unplayed, unopened; NM/9 = close to mint with no visible wear or defects; EX/8 = Minor defects that are not noticeable during play, full shine, still new looking record; VG+/7 = Minor wear and defects that may add minimal noise during play, no shine loss; VG/6 = Average to slightly less than average used record. Minor wear and defects that may add noise during play, some shine loss; VG/5 = A slightly less than average used record with noticeable defects, but plays better than expected. Light wear and defects that add noise during play, some shine loss; VG-/4 = Moderate wear and defects that add moderate noise during play, record does not skip, shine is obscured by light scratches; G/3 = A good record that has significant wear and defects that add noise that never overtakes the music, record plays through. The maximum wear that the record is still useable. Fair F2 and Poor P1 would only be used for records that are so rare that they cannot be found any better.
Shipping
I will gladly combine shipping on multiple orders!
If you’re buying more than one (1) record – click ADD TO CART before completing the transaction. That way I can adjust the shipping charges.
Shipping outside the U.S.A. is very expensive Shipping to Canada for up to 5 LPs costs $18.00. Shipping to Europe or Asia for up to 5 LPs will cost $28.00. That's with me giving a break on multiple purchases. If the package ends up weighing over 4 pounds, double the cost.
All records will be shipped in cardboard mailers (homemade or bought), USPS Media Mail with tracking.
78s will be shipped correctly in an oversized box, "floated" in the middle of padding.
