Description
This is a vinyl UK Import copy of The B-52's 1982 mini-album Mesopotamia on Island Records. Produced by David Byrne, all six tracks were featured as singles. This initial international release contains the demo mixes of "Loveland," "Cake" and "Throw That Beat In The Garbage Can." These versions are substantially longer, rawer and more electronic compared to the North American mixes.
-"Loveland" is 5 minutes on the North American release and 8:33 here.
-"Cake is 5:48 on the NA release and 7:45 here
-"Throw That Beat In The Garbage Can" is 4:30 on the NA release and 5:46 here.
Because of these differences, this UK edition was billed as a mini-album instead of an EP.
