The B-52s were a pinnacle of cool from 1970s Georgia; their classics such as 'Private Idaho', 'Give Me Back My Man', and 'Party Out Of Bounds' were massively well-received at the time and across the globe, for their distinctive call-and-response style, then known as a 'guys vs. gals' for encouraging gender-split singalongs. This blue splatter edition of their 1980 LP 'Wild Planet' documents the band at the height of their coolest period, well before the less eccentric but more marketable likes of 'Love Shack' propelled them to new heights of stardom.
