Luis Bacalov, an Argentinian-born Italian composer, has been present across some of the most sought-after soundtracks of the 60s, 70s and 80s, working with mythical directors such as Pasolini and Fellini, among many others. La Seduzione is one piece from 1973, and it's one of those bottomless sampling sources that'll often get quoted by producers like Madlib or MF Doom. This is because the LP travels across countless genres and influences, transporting the listener through electronica, jazz and breaks, all from the point of view of an artist who never relied on any single genres or trends. Strangely enough, there's even a bit of Spaghetti Western in here, the sort that is often championed by peeps like Tarantino. It's a true masterpiece, and an album which stands alone on a single pedestal. Recommended.
