Bach - The Sonatas & Partitas for Solo Violin
Performed by violinist Josef Suk. EMI/HMV SLS 818, 3LP box set (CSD 3710, 3711, and 3712), stereo, includes booklet. This exceptional set is special in that it comes from the collection of Josef Suk's manager and includes an insert and a label on one of the inner sleeves instructing the listener to return this copy to her. This record is from the collection of an important, pioneering classical artists' manager, the late Mariedi Anders, who represented many prominent musicians including Josef Suk, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Thomas Zehetmair and the Borodin Quartet, among many others, and was pivotal in introducing many Russian Musicians to the western world. I have many more records from this collection listed this week, including several that are sealed and a couple that are signed to Ms. Anders. I will combine shipping, and I ship internationally. For grading, I use NM/EX/VG++/VG+, and I generally don't sell records that are VG or below unless they are of particular interest. I only sell records that I would be happy to own myself, the rest I donate to charity. I grade visually, but if there is any question I play grade.
