Edinger Was born in Berlin and began studying violin at age 5. While still a student Miss Edinger made her debut and was the youngest soloist at the Berlin festival in 1962. As a result of this appearance she was engaged to played many German cities and in 1964 made her debut with the Berlin Philharmonic.

In 1966 she made her way to New York for her debut followed by concerts in Boston, Washington , St. Louis in Montreal.

It is important to note that the violin played in this recording is the famous “CESSOLE” Stradivarius of 1716 —considered by many as the finest surviving example of the maker’s art from the standpoint of both physical and aural beauty.
