BACH ST MATTHEW PASSION – KLEMPERER PHIL. ORCH & CHOIR

 

Columbia SAXS 2446 / SAS 2447/50 (SMS 1013). Otto Klemperer, Philharmonia Orchestra & Choir,

Fischer-Dieskau, Pears, Schwarzkopf, Ludwig, Gedda, Berry.   Boxed set of 5 records (one is 1-sided)

with silver/blue labels with “Factory Sample – Not for Sale” sticker on labels of one side of each record. 

Overall this set is in excellent condition but on Side 3 there is a 2 cm. very fine scratch and an area about

1 x 1½ cm. with fine hairline marks.  The track-listing sheet and colour-illustrated booklet are in excellent

condition.  Box is intact but front paper is scuffed and grubby.
