The genesis of the new formula came as a result of a visit to High End Audio's self proclaimed Vinyl Guru Michael Fremer's Analog Laboratory. Mr. Fremer demonstrated a Furutech LP demagnetizer. After using the demagnetizer, vocals had so much more texture, bass definition and clarity of every nuance of the recording was vastly improved and there was more low level information than we had ever heard in the recording.

Why did the demagnetizer had the sonic effects on a record? Very simply the carbon black that is ADDED to vinyl for LP manufacture contains trace metals that become randomly magnetized and interfere electrically with the cartridge hanging overhead during play. So... if carbon black and the trace metals contained therein caused playback distortion in the cartridge then why not take out the carbon black altogether? Classic Records Clarity SV-P II Clear Vinyl is the answer!

Clarity Vinyl represents the ultimate in vinyl formulations because it is comprised of over 90% percentage of the highest quality co-polymer available - a key component in vinyl pellets used for manufacturing vinyl records. Further, Clarity Vinyl has no carbon black additive, common in vinyl formulas for LP's. Carbon Black contains trace metals that become magnetized and cause "electrical distortions" in cartridges during playback that smears the sound. By taking out the Carbon Black, Classic Records is able to dramatically reduce the "electrical distortions" and thus bring more "Clarity" to the playback process, providing a more realistic musical experience to the listener and LP enthusiast.

45 rpm records have long been recognized as providing a higher fidelity musical experience resulting purely from the cartridge being able to extract more of the nuance from the complex vertical and horizontal groove modulations in stereo LP's. Further, Classic Records 45 rpm "single sided" pressings dramatically reduce the mechanical resonances created by the cartridge during playback by allowing these resonances to be more fully transmitted to and absorbed by the turntable platter. Classic Records Clarity Vinyl 45 rpm pressings are designed and manufactured to provide the "LOWEST DISTORTION" in every aspect of LP playback resulting in putting the listener as close to the music as possible.

BURT BACHARACH'S SOUNDTRACK FROM BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KIND RARE VINYL 180 GRAM MINT LIMITED EDITION PRESSING AS A FREE BONUS TO THIS COLLECTION

For many, 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' is the quintessential 60s movie, portraying a couple of lovable, free-spirited rogues whose lives end in glorious defeat. (It was immensely popular in England, perhaps because we try so hard to be good losers!)
It's virtually impossible to divorce the soundtrack from the movie. In the space of a little less than 28 minutes, you get three versions of the theme from 'Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head' and six other tracks. (And fortunately none of the versions is the lamentable single recorded by Sacha Distel!)
Composers didn't write scores in the 1960s the way they write them now. No attempt is made here to include ethnic instruments or musical styles from Latin America. This is (North) American popular music through and through, and it is hugely enjoyable.
The stand-out track, to my ears, is 'South American Getaway', a slightly elongated version of the music that accompanies the pair's many bank raids in Bolivia, hotly pursued by growing numbers of mounted police or soldiers. But this is music that stands on its own and would grace any Bacharach album, movie or no movie. Its upbeat wordless vocals are so optimistic, and it would be a joy to see this piece performed live.
The movie marked the end of the 60s. It was perhaps appropriate that the heroes get killed, but that we the cinema-goer, like Sundance's teacher girlfriend, did not quite see the pair die. And the soundtrack also marked the end of Bacharach's compositional brilliance. Bacharach's genius dominated the 60s, but he was only occasionally to regain his form in the 70s and 80s. I believe that his mantle -- for writing optimistic, sophisticated popular music with underlying Latin rhythms -- has been inherited by guitarist Pat Metheny. (For example, 'Au Lait' from the 'Offramp' album is similar in mood to 'South American Getaway' here.)
'Butch Cassidy' is a movie I can watch again and again. Given the ending, it is remarkable that this movie can be so uplifting

This soundtrack is a zany comic concoction by pop legend Burt Bacharach, the composer of over 25 Top Ten hits. The mischievous score for this 1966 comedy features the lyrical talents of his collaborator Hal David on the title song, performed by The Hollies with the star of the film, Peter Sellers. Sellers assumes the guise of a Fellini-like director and persuades an entire Italian village to help him make an absurdist movie. In reality, they are helping him pull off an outrageous gold heist. Quintessential Bacharach perfection! Writer Neil Simon, Bicycle Thief director Vittorio de Sica and star Peter Sellers couldn't turn After the Fox into a hit in 1966, but Bacharach's spry, baroque score--and a dash of Meyers' enthusiastic, barely tongue-in-cheek admiration--easily qualify this as a '90s retro gem. The title-song teaming of the Hollies and Peter Sellers at his mock-Roman best is sweetly eccentric and flows nicely into Bacharach's swinging bossanovas. And yes, cocktail-lovers, harpsichords abound here
