Description
As soon as I heard this one back in 1980 I knew I had to find it.
I jumped for joy when a pal had found several copies on a trip to MD.
Of course, back then this was he ONLY way to own this fine tune.
A quarter century later, this thing will leap off your turntable with fury.
The BAD BRAINS debut track has since been re-issued on a bunch of discs and compilations but this is the real thing. A 100% genuine first pressing. You get the disc, original fold-over sleeve - with a minor dent in the corner – see pic, original lyric sheet, and even the original plastic outer sleeve that all the goods came in.
Oh yes, this one is autographed by HR himself.
Disc is in marvelous condition and was rarely played. Matrix Numbers: Side A MOD-001-A. Side B MOD-001-B. Both sides have the “Masterdisk” emblem stamped into the matrix as well.
Like many of my rarer singles, I copied it to tape (and played the tape to death) for fear that I would never find another one (No eBay back in 1981!).
A rare opportunity own an absolute masterpiece debut single from one of America’s hardest rocking bands ever.
Buy it, put it in the bank vault, make your grandkids happy.
From the collection of a former member of the Necros.

On May-22-05 at 06:37:04 PDT, seller added the following information: 5-22-2005I've been getting emails asking what kind of paper the sleeve is printed on. You'll be glad to know this is printed on what feels like 100# ivory cardstock. The lyric sheet is on a lighter weight ivory paper as well. My pictures are a little washed out and make it appear like the sleeve is white like a later pressing of this disc.
Nope, this is the real thing. I'll try to post some better pictures.
Here's what BadBrains authority Henry Rollins has to say:
Hi. Skip Groff at Yesterday and Today Records wrote me about your Bad Brains records as he was curious. There were 1000 made of the first run. they took my car from DC up to NYC to drive them down. The original print run of the paper was the off-white creme color, the one after was white and the lyric sheet was not off set printed. the signed one you have is a real HR signature. He signed many of them that way. It's a very rare record. Henry Rollins
