BAKERLOO Same HARVEST PROG ROCK Power Trio UK 1st FAIR ONLY SHELF FILLER
Bakerloo, Same.
Original 1969 England pressed Harvest Records stereo LP, SHVL 762.
Earliest pressing with "The Gramophone Co." perimeter text and no EMI logo to labels, A2/B2 matrix suffixes.
Sadly a pretty rough LP and suitable only as a shelf filler. The vinyl surfaces still have a decent gloss but display a number of light scratches and other marks, some of which look quite nasty. Playback is only Fair (using UK grading). Noisy and crackly with some loudish ticks. Some of the heavier passages play fairly well however.
Labels are clean and undefaced although showing just a tad of storage spotting, very light.
Inner sleeve is a replacement.
Gatefold external sleeve is in pretty good shape, so perhaps suitable as an upgrade for a decent vinyl issue with a poor sleeve. Main panels are free of stickers, surface loss, inscriptions etc. The unlaminated inner of the sleeve is also still fairly clean and white still, although two or three instances of light tan stains to peripheries. These are all very light and unobtrusive. Spine is intact and entry side is not feathered. Bottom edge of rear panel a little shelf worn and with a small (less than half inch) seam split to corner. Laminate does not reach quite to the edge of the main panels and the plain overhanging areas are starting to show some darkening. There are a few half moon and other linear imperfections to the exterior laminate. By and large a clean and tidy sleeve however.
