Description

Ballads: The John Coltrane Quartet. This is a UK 1963 Stereo copy on HMV. An early Stereo Green/Gold copy of the American "Impulse" AS-32 album. This long out of print HMV album still sounds wonderful after 63 years! The cover has minor creasing with no rips, tears staining writing or signs of abuse. The original HMV inner is present and in good condition. No yellowing or tearing. The album does have small scratches and lines which, cosmetically appear of worry, but really don't effect play. These UK albums are really just shy of indestructible! The sound is clear, rich and balanced. This is among my favourite of the early quartet. The selection of material and their rendition is sublime.
