Description
Introduction:
This is a RECORD from my private collection of 1960s 7” singles. I will be listing a lot over the coming weeks.
In each listing the condition of the vinyl is mostly at least VG (using RC guidelines) but many are in MUCH better condition and each is described accordingly, - some look hardly played. There may be some ‘not so rare’ copies offered for sale, but they are listed because the condition is so special, or others are listed because there is a rarity factor but the condition is not so good.
In some cases the records I have selected for sale are hard to find in any condition while others are ideal ‘collection improver’ copies.
Unless it came in a picture sleeve, all individually listed records come in a correct era company sleeve.
This listing is for a 7” single record:
THIS IS SUCH A RARE VINYL - have you seen another one?
Artist BARBARA MASON - ....... DEMO COPY!
Record Yes I'm Ready / Keep him
Label LONDON Label DEMONSTRATION / 'A' label pressing from 1965
Serial No. HL 9977
Condition This is a very sought after record! BUT PLEASE READ THE NEXT BIT!
VINYL - an original 1965 pressing in VG+++ visual condition and its appearance suggests a few plays only. When play testing it, there was a light audible surface noise on the intro revolutions then it started smoothly with the light surface noise being lost under the music - then it became noticable on the outro rev's. I guess that's fairly typical of what should be expected from a 50 year old vinyl record.
There are no pops, no jumps, it doesn't stick, there are no cracks in the vinyl - as i said, it looks a really clean record and plays VG+ (8/10).
LABELS - the labels are very clean with very few spindle marks and THERE ARE felt tip written numbers on both side - see pic!
The SLEEVE is a LONDON Label company sleeve sleeve with a sharply cut diecut centre and is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no tears, no feathering on the open edge and no writing whatsoever - A REALLY NICE SLEEVE! - see pic!
OK, this is not a perfect copy but it is a VERY good copy and offered at a realistic starting price of £9.99
- even STANDARD PRESSING COPIES command a lot of interest in the right condition - BUT almost NEVER do these DEMO COPIES come up for sale – DON’T MISS OUT! A real 'COLLECTION' item

THIS ONE WILL BE SENT BY FIRST CLASS / SIGNED FOR post on the next day following payment.
