VISUAL GRADING SYSTEM FOR RECORDS AND CD’s

1. MINT (M) : A beautiful copy. The item appears untouched. Unused. Flawless. The record is in virtually new condition with no surface marks and plays with none or hardly any deterioration in sound quality. The cover and inserts are in near perfect condition. // Copia nueva. Sin usar. El disco no presenta marcas en su superficie ni en la calidad sonora. Las carpetas (interior si la hubiese) están nuevas.
2. NEAR MINT (NM) : Nearly perfect. // Casi perfecto.
3. VERY GOOD PLUS / EXCELLENT (VG+/EX) : An average above copy in very good condition that shows minor wear. The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little deterioration in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing. // Copia corriente en muy buen estado con desgastes menores. El disco muestra algún pequeño signo de haber sido usado pero sin afectar a la calidad sonora.
4. VERY GOOD (VG) : Average used copy with small defects. The record shows obvious signs of being played, but shows no major deterioration of sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and/or extra items may show normal wear and tear. // Copia corriente usada con algún pequeño defecto. El disco presenta los obvios signos de un disco usado pero sin afectar a la calidad sonora, a pesar de tener alguna sensible marca en su superficie. La carpeta puede mostrar el desgaste normal en un disco usado.
5. GOOD (G) : Worn out copy, but still complet. The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and minor scratches. The cover and contents suffer from creasing, scuffing on the edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc... // Copia muy usada, pero completa. El disco fué muy usado y presenta algún deterioro un su calidad sonora, quizás con alguna distorsión y rasguños menores. La carpeta puede padecer algún doblado y las marcas de haber sido guardado junto a otros discos, los bordes el normal desgaste de un disco usado, y puede que alguna decoloración.
6. FAIR (F) : Shabby copy, with scuffs, tears, holes, writing, sticks, tape.... // Copia pobre y raída, con manchas, agujeros, escritura, etiquetas, cinta....
