Description
Ok gang, this is one of the COOLEST things I've sold in a long time! (NOTE: This is NOT a vinyl playable record!) Have a part of history!
From 1979, just found in a box high atop a cold dark closet shelf in the VAST BARNES & BARNES archives, this is I THINK a "metal mother stamper" used to make the limited edition record pressing in 1979, of side B of the boy's 45, "Boogie Woogie Amputee". It's known as "BB-202". (At least I THINK it's AMPUTEE'S stamper, and NOT the stamper for "Something's In The Bag"....) This is sold as a COLLECTIBLE only; no records can be made with this thing...
This stamper was thought to be long lost, but it has been found once again, and it can be yours! Wowser!
Now of course, I don't think you can play this thing, it's a collectible only. Comes in it's original brownish sleeve that it's been in for all these years. Dated on front of sleeve: 11-26-79. The metal part itself looks to be in decent shape. Pretty clean, a little warp to the metal, some crimping on the outer areas, and some fingerprints. Cool stuff! And did I mention it's UNIQUE?! "AMPUTEE" is one of B & B's most well known and loved songs! Was heard on the Dr. Demento show, Kroq, and elsewhere. Bill Mumy, famous person, is one of these Barnes guys. The other guy, ARTIE BARNES, signed the backside of the stamper for you! Double groovy! Grab this FAST, if you're so inclined--
