BARRINGTON LEVY - Shaolin Temple (Jah Guidance) - LP - 1979
Tracks: Wedding Ring, Moonlight Lover, Bounty Hunter, Skylarking, It's Not Easy, Looking My Love, Shine Eye Girl, Shaolin Temple, Reggae Music, Collie Weed.
Very nicely presented original pressing of Barrington Levy's classic Shaolin Temple LP, released on the Jah Guidance label in 1979. Recorded at Channel One, produced by Henry 'Junjo' Lawes, mixed by Scientist, engineered by Maxie, with riddims courtesy of the Roots Radics. The vinyl retains an excellent sheen with just a few very light superficial surface marks, a few fine, ultra-light hairlines and one light scratch (3cm long) on Side Two - see descriptions below.
Side One (DSR9170A): There are just some tiny ticks plus a few slightly more prominent clicks. In addition, a tiny pressing mark causes six prominent clicks midway through Track 1. Grade - These six clicks aside, EX+/Near Mint
Side Two (DSR9171B): There are tiny and occasional very small clicks plus a few slightly more prominent ones. In addition, the light scratch highlighted above causes clicks ranging from very small to smallish (most somewhere in between) during the last third of Track 1. Grade - Track 1 - VG, otherwise EX
Labels: There is just a Papa Stumpy Records stamp on the Side Two label.
Sleeve: There is a little very light bumping to the edges and corners, some very light general discolouration and a couple of Papa Stumpy Records stamps on the front cover (see the scan).
