The incredible picture sleeve was done by Mad Mark Rude. He was known for the amazing artwork he created. For example he did the excellent picture sleeve for MISFITS ‘Earth A.D.’ record. Mad Mark Rude also did cover artwork for OFFSPRING and so on. Here you will get 15 tracks, 15 bonzers. This album by BATTALION OF SAINTS titled ‘Second Coming‘ and is their first longplayer. Fast and powerful Hardcore from San Diego/California, the land of BLACK FLAG, SOCIAL DISTORTION, CIRCLE JERKS, BAD RELIGION, DILS and WEIRDOS. It was given 7 of 10 points by the FLEX book/website (US Hardcore/Punk). The same sold on eBay, in February 2012, for $80. In August 2010, for $76 plus in August again for $76 (US). All tracks are crammed-full with snotty aggro power, played with the right F**K YOU attidute. Original first US pressing, released on ‘Nutrons’ records in conjunction with the ‘Enigma’ label in 1984 (matrix number E-1020). Listen to shockers like ‘No More Lies’ / ‘No Time’ / ‘Doomed World’ / ‘Ace Of Spades’ and so on. Here’s as additional the comment taken from the great FLEX:
- Fast West Coast hardcore; they have added some metal influence to their sound - no guitar fiddling, though, in fact it gives their music even more power & intensity. By today’s standards that blend is not that impressive, but back then it was an important catalyst for the emerging Crossover movement. [7]
- Schneller West-Coast-Hardcore, jetzt auch mit einem gewissen (allerdings sehr dezenten) Metal-Touch, der nicht in Gefiedel ausartet, sondern die Musik dichter und kraftvoller macht. Vom heutigen Standpunkt eine ordentliche Platte, die allerdings die Welt nicht aus den Angeln hebt; für die damalige Zeit aber eine wichtige Scheibe für das Crossover-Movement.

Versand / Mailing: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
