Short info about the band: Batushka, was established in 2015. Black metal crew from eastern Poland, has become one of the most powerful and suggestive bands of the modern era. Using the energy and fury of black metal and elements characteristic of ancient rituals, the band's debut material entitled "Litourgiya" stood out from other extreme albums released in 2015. The premiere of the group's new album, "Hospodi", will take place on July 12. Named after the Old Church Slavonic word "God", the album "Hospodi" in addition to the elements that made Batushka a world-wide phenomenon, also contains quite new, often characteristic for rock music. The band describes new songs as the most poisonous and at the same time the most atmospheric of all that he has created so far.
"The whole album is a concept based on the Liturgy of Death, prayers for the dead and orthodox funeral rites and funerary songs," the band emphasizes. "It's a ritual that engages both dead and mourners. In the creation of" Hospodi "we also used many old folk songs and They are sung around the coffin, at the home of the deceased.Today, only a few, older people know and sing these songs. We have decided to cultivate this tradition and we are glad that thanks to our new album these songs and rituals will survive. "
