Description
You are bidding on a 4 LP lot on vinyl from the King Of The Blues; “B.B. King.” The titles are “The Original Sweet Sixteen,” “Better Than Ever,” “Boss Of The Blues,” and “There Must Be A Better World Somewhere.” (See listing below).
We purchased these decades ago, played them (and enjoyed them), and they have been sitting in our home (vertically) for the last few decades.
Please remember that these albums were well taken care of, but were played as part of our record collection decades ago. We have tried to show the condition on the photos included with this listing.
This item has been stored at room temperature, in a smoke free home. Please see photos of actual item being sold.
B.B. King 4 Vinyl LP Lot:
The Original Sweet Sixteen: (Kent Records KST -568; 1973)
This LP was a Reissue of “B.B. King - Rock Me Baby”, originally released in 1964 on Kent (KST 512). “This is actually pretty close to a greatest-hits collection -- most of his Top Ten R&B hits up to and including the title track are included”. The cover is in excellent condition; there is a cut out notch on the bottom right front corner (See Photos). The vinyl is in excellent condition. This issue contains a generic, clear inner-sleeve.
Better Than Ever: (Kent Records; KST-561; 1971)
This is apparently a Compilation from 1971, containing previously released material. This album was originally released in 1961. Cover is in excellent condition; the vinyl is in excellent condition. This item contains a clear generic inner-sleeve.
Boss Of The Blues : (Kent Records; Kent 529/5029; 1967) This LP was released in 1967, and contains recordings from 1956 - 1959. The Cover is in EX condition. The vinyl is in excellent condition. This item contains a clear inner-sleeve.
There Must Be A Better World Somewhere: (MCA Records; MCA 5162; 1981) This LP was released in 1981, and finds B.B. King joined by his backup group (with altoist Hank Crawford, tenor saxophonist David "Fathead" Newman, and baritonist Ronnie Cuber). The two most basic selections ("There Must Be a Better World Somewhere" and "The Victim") are easily the most successful, while the other four are funky, more R&B-oriented and overly commercial. The Cover is in EX condition with slight wear on the corners. The vinyl is in EX condition. The album comes with a clear plastic inner-sleeve.
