BEACH BOYS 45 ***Autographed*** by 4, incl DAVID MARKS!!!
A real treat for the Beach Boys collector here, a first pressing of "409/Surfin' Safari" (Capitol 4777, 1962) with four autographs...(clockwise from top right in scan) Mike Love, Carl Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks.
Marks was on a number of Beach Boys releases but had left the group in August 1963. His tenure as a touring member overlapped with Jardine's for the first part of that year, so the signature's time window is pretty small.
No effort has been made to clean up the labels and the wax is VG-.
The flip side, replete with the earlier owner's address sticker, is shown for reasons of full disclosure with respect to condition.
An original picture sleeve is included because this is going to help complete an awesome display piece once the winner gets them framed. The sleeve (scanned) has only lite rings, no splits or writing.
A scan of the label was sent to Roger Epperson, a noted expert in the field of signature authentication (particularly in the area of rock and roll), to get his gut feeling. He emailed back that he did not require the record in his hands, "it is without question authentic".
A printout of the email exchange will be provided with your record, as Mr Epperson felt it would function in lieu of a COA.
