Description
Up for auction is a Canadian copy of The Beach Boys School Day (Ring! Ring! Goes The Bell), backed with “When Girls Get Together”, pressed in 1980 on Caribou DJ-ZS9-9034. This 45 features a different mix of School Day to that released on Keepin’ The Summer Alive, a version that was never officially issued; the only copies to leak out were the dj promos pressed up in the USA & Canada. The single was cancelled before it reached the pressing plant, making the promo copies among the rarest of all Beach Boys 45s.
Condition: Not bad at all; plenty of gloss still on the vinyl. There is one mark on the a-side, mainly on the run-out area, but also affecting the final few rotations of the vinyl. B-side also has a few minor marks, but all round VG+, verging on EX.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings.
