Description
WOW! This is an original and rare DUOPHONIC vinyl LP of "The Beach Boys Today!" released by Capitol Records in 1965 (DT 2269). This 50 year old record is in a highly collectible condition as to vinyl, inner sleeve and outer jacket. The great Dick Clark wrote a liner notes tribute to this incredible album chock full of Beach-Boy favorites such as "Help Me, Ronda" and "Do You Wanna Dance?) and three new at the time Brian Wilson penned songs.
The heavy vinyl rates a VG++ to NM condition producing an exceptional quality sound. The album comes with a Capitol Records Inc. inner sleeve not of the usual advertising type which is VG+ condition with just some wrinkling primarily at one corner and two 2-3" seam splits at bottom and right center). The jacket is very clean on both sides with sharp corners without any added writing or seam splits The front cover is very glossy reflecting great color being a splendid candidate for framing if one is so inclined.. The back cover looks very good indeed with some staining noted near bottom and up side by the seam. The jacket is rated an overall VG++.
A new quality clear poly-vinyl outer sleeve is included. For extra protection during shipment the vinyl is separated from outer jacket and both wrapped with ample bubble wrap and shipped in a heavy duty cardboard record mailer. There is never an additional charge for packing.
