...Obscure 45 by equally obscure Rochester, NY band..."Willow.." is wispy folk-rock, very much like first album-era America (it's good!)...but "...Hill" is what you're here for: awesome 60's-style folk-rock, with psychedelic trippy phasing effects, and then a ripping guitar solo - fuzz-pedal in action! - love it!!...
This came from the 'infamous' Fine Studios 'fire-sale' purchase (see here: http://www.finerecordingstudio.com/) . It'd been sent to the owner of Fine (Vince Giancursio, a.k.a. Vince Jan) by the band, which included two brothers, Jim and Jack Bearce. When I got it, it was still in the envelope it was mailed in, addressed to Vince and mailed by 'James Bearce' (has his home address on the back). It includes a handwritten letter from Jim to Vince, plus their 'promo kit' for the release: being 2 photo cards, one for radio programme directors, and one having the band's management details.
I'm selling this complete, with all of the above included.
The pic sleeve would be very close to mint but has a tear at the bottom, hence VG++ grading. Likewise, I doubt if the 45 has ever been played but mere age decrees that it needs to be graded down a fraction.
You won't find this on youtube, nor will any amount of Google action come up with anything on the psych tune, but if you go here you can at least listen to a quite soft version "Willow Tree": http://www.ourstage.com/epk/gkawdiuprysh - but you really need to hear the other side!!
