The Beatles - ’I Want To Hold Your Hand / This Boy’. R 5084

The Beatles 1963 UK 1st pressing of the ’I Want To Hold Your Hand / This Boy’ 7” single. Released on the 29th November 1963, this copy features a rare red ‘E’ sticker. This indicates it was used to test play quality within EMI’s pressing plant during production. The ‘E’ actually stands for a latin phrase which loosely translated means EXAMINED. It is quite hard to come across these play tested ‘E’ issues. The vinyl is housed within the original 1963 Parlophone sleeve.

The matrix numbers are:

Side 1: 7XCE 17559-1N 10 GOH KT

Side 2: 7XCE 17560-1N 8 RHD KT

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition. Some staining to the vinyl surface looks to be mould. A good clean should remove this.

Both labels are in in EXCELLENT condition.

The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
