You are bidding on the first Beatles Fan Club flexidisc (Lyntone LYN 492) released in 1963. This disc was pressed in much smaller numbers than later Beatles Xmas flexidiscs and is therefore much rarer. The sleeve opens out to show the fan club newsletter and a pocket to retain the disc. The sleeve condition is VG to EX with some creasing, but no fading (apologies for the uneven lighting on the sleeve pictures). The two staples for the pocket are still bright and shiny, though the upper staple has pulled away from the rear cover at some point. The disc is EX+ and has to be one of the best examples of this delicate medium as it was only played once using a lightweight pickup to record onto tape. I can send an example of the quality of the sound of the disc as an MP3 e-mail attachment if required, but it really is superb. The disc label is pristine and unmarked. This disc has been stored away from the light in a smoke free environment for over 40 years, and is probably one of the best examples still around. Please bid freely to obtain a rare Beatles artifact which can only accrue in value.
