AUCTION SPECIFICS AND CONDITION:
THE BEATLES ORIGINAL-AUTHENTIC VEE JAY "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" (mono version 2) released on February 10th, 1964.
THE COVER:
The cover being offered here is one of the most perfect original and authentic 1964 Vee Jay Introducing the Beatles covers (mono version 2) I have ever beheld. I know of only one better and that is in my collection - and I would not hesitate to stack that one up against any in existence! This is the best ITB Cover I have ever offered (10 years on Ebay and 35 doing record shows). The cover of this lp has graphics that are just amazing. The photo of the Beatles on the front is flat out beautiful. I have a reasonable reserve on this one because of that alone, and I will frame this for my office if it doesn't sell. The back is crisp white. The only flaw, and I can't really count it is a flaw as much as a historical marking, is a staple that once held the price tag in the upper left corner. You can see it in the pic on the T in THE on THE BEATLES. I cannot stress how difficult it is to find a cover of this quality. There isn't even any edge wear to speak of on the seams! I have seen hundreds if not thousands of these covers - authentic and bootleg - this one is going to be tough to beat!
THE RECORD:
The authentic Vee Jay LP is full gloss VG+ with VG labels. Just some light play and handling on the vinyl - plays super! Labels have quite a few spindle marks hence the grade - otherwise very nice. Includes original AD BACK inner sleeve that has some damage from the staple.
