After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please check out my other listings and remember to save me as a favourite seller, as every week I'll be listing more and more increasingly rare, collectible and desirable Beatles records!
Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for an original stereo 1st pressing of the Beatles UK LP 'A Hard Day's Night' on the yellow / black Parlophone label. This is the 1st pressing with the original 'Chubby' typeset. This was soon changed to the Sans Serif typeset.
Back in 1965 stereophonic record players cost a lot more than mono record players. This, coupled with the fact that stereo records cost a lot more than their mono counterparts, meant that original stereo copies of Beatle records, up until around 1967, sold in far, far fewer quantities!
This particular pressing also has the rare MT tax code embossed on the side 1 label. The Parlophone MT tax code was in use from January 1st 1963 up until June 30th 1963. After that the tax code KT was used up until 1972. Therefore it shouldn't really be appearing on a 1965 release. It can be assumed than an older vinyl pressing machine was used to help cope with demand, and the old MT tax code had not been updated.
An awesomely rare and collectible LP! Would make a great collection filler!

The cover is holding up okay but is showing a fair amount of light wear and tear. The front cover has a nice colour but has yellowed a little, most noticeably along the top bar. There's some light disc impression and wear down the mouth edge along with little laminate creases around the edges. Top is holding tight but has a split in the middle about 1 1/2" or so inches long. Bottom seam is holding tight with no wear or splitting. The back cover has yellowed a fair amount with some light dirt mark in a couple places. There's a little browning on the mouth edge and some laminate creases in the overflaps. Like I say, holding up nicely but is showing some wear and tear. Inner Sleeve: G
The original tissue paper Emitex inner is included. it's showing its age and has yellowed lightly but noticeablely but, overall is holding up okay. One seam has become unglued down halfway from the mouth and there are small pieces of cellotape in the middle of each seam to prevent splitting. Tissue inner is stuck tight inside. The playing surface is looking a little tired and is covered in light scuffing. There's also some slightly heavier looking scuffs and light scratches.

The labels are showing some wear. Both have little fleck and marks in the label and light, moderate spindlewear. There's been some whitening around the centreholes that a previous owner has penned back in and a small pen scribble in the £ logo on side 2.

All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve. Extra sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable and FRAGILE tape used
