BEATLES 1966 COLLECTION OF BEATLES OLDIES MONO 1st press EX
On offer is THE BEATLES LP entitled A COLLECTION OF BEATLES OLDIES released in the UK in MONO on the YELLOW/BLACK PARLOPHONE PMC 7016 in 1966.
This FIRST PRESS MONO LP is in LOVELY EX condition.
· The condition of the vinyl is visually a very strong EX bordering on EX+. It has a lovely sheen. A really great disc and highly collectable in this condition.
· The GARROD & LOFTHOUSE Ltd. flip-back sleeve is in nice condition: the laminated front picture cover is in lovely EX to EX+ condition: it is very fresh and clean. The non-laminated back cover has some lines running down it (see scan): but these are not obtrusive.
· I have just test played the disc for the first time in many years and it plays excellently with a full dynamic range on my hi-fi.
· The matrix numbers of the disc are: Side 1: XEX 619-1G. Side 2: XEX 620-1G.
· The YELLOW / BLACK label contains the ‘GRAMOPHONE CO.LTD.’ and ‘SOLD IN UK …’ label text which identifies it as a First Press from 1966. The labels are in very nice condition.
· The LP has been in my collection for many years kept in a plastic sleeve for protection. It is now housed in a plain white sleeve – but the original Parlophone USE EMITEX inner is included.
Overall this is a LOVELY LP in a strong EX bordering EX+ condition and as such is a Beatles mono LP from 1966 that would make a worthy addition to any Beatles LP collection.
