The Beatles - ‘A Collection Of Beatles Oldies (But Goldies !)’. PCS 7016

The Beatles 1966 UK 1st STEREO pressing of the 'Collection Of Beatles Oldies (But Goldies !)' LP. Released on the 10th December 1966, this is an interesting issue with a very unusual serif font variation on the vinyl labels and a wrongly printed cover. Note the position of the word STEREO on the front. This SHOULD be printed higher up within the white area above. A very unusual issue of this rare 1966 stereo album.

Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label. Both vinyl labels feature the 'Sold in the UK....' text and have 'The Gramophone Co Ltd....' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side one label. This comes complete with the ‘Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd’ cover with printing error.

I have shown the two label variations in the pictures above, standard and serif as an example. THIS ISSUE has the rarer SERIF font on both sides (PICTURE 4). Quite a few differences indeed.

The Matrix numbers are:

Side 1. YEX 619-1G 3 GA

Side 2. YEX 620-1G 3 M

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+/VERY GOOD condition.

Both labels are in VERY GOOD++/EXCELLENT- condition.

The sleeve is in VERY GOOD++ condition.

The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD- condition. I shall include and additional inner sleeve for protection.
