This auction is for a very rare original mono pressing of the Beatles legendary LP 'Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band' on the yellow / black Parlophone label.
This is the highly desireable and very rare error pressing that OMITS 'A Day in the Life' on the side 2 label! Such a a huge error would have been caught almost instantly by Parlophone's quality control and corrected, and it's thought that only a few hundred copies ever made it onto record shelves!
Not only that, but this disc is housed in a 'wide spine' sleeve!
Extremely hard to find and a must for any Beatles collector!!!

The cover is holding up okay, but is showing some wear and tear. the front has a nice colour although it is looking slightly tired. There's a little dirt buildup, verylight disc impression and some little laminate creases around the edges and around the mouth edge. There's a little rub in the middle of the top seam but there's no tears or splitting. Bottom seam is looking good with no tears or splits. The spine is awide spine but has been crushed and is heavily worn with a small 1" or so split in the middle. The photo above tells the best story here. The back is pretty much like the front - light dirt buildup, a little disc impression and laminate creases around the edges and mouth. Inner gatefold has no dirt on the laminate and looks really clean and crisp! The photo has all of its original, rich colour and there's just a few little laminate creases. the overflaps are stuck down tight. Insert: EX+

The insert is looking creat with no creases or cutting. There's a small knock on the right just next to the stripes. The back is showing a very light browning around the edges, but this is very faint. Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : FAIR

The playing surface has a lot of light scuffing along with some slightly heavier looking scuffs and light scratches. Not a play copy IMO although the marking on the disc is pretty minor.

The labels, as a whole, are looking pretty clean. They have some light spindlewear and a little whitening around the centrehole. There's a few little scratches in the labels like a record needle has accidentally run on them, but as you can see these are pretty minor.

All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
