BEATLES 1967 mono SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEART'S CLUB BAND LP in nice condition with The Beatles Monthly Book - Sgt. Pepper Special 1967.     

On offer is a very nice EX- condition BEATLES LP entitled SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND released in the UK in MONO in 1967 on the yellow/ black PARLOPHONE label PARLOPHONE PMC 7027.

The LP comes complete with its red psych inner and cardboard cut-out. It also has with it a SUPERB condition ORIGINAL The Beatles Monthly Book for June 1967 –which I kept with this LP because it is a SGT. PEPPER SPECIAL.  So I have decided to sell them together all these years later!  

This is a very nice EX- condition MONO first pressing identified by the ‘THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD.’ & ‘SOLD IN U.K.’… label text and K.T. tax code on the label.  

·       The Peter Blake designed Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. flip-back gatefold sleeve is in very nice EX- condition. It is a beautifully clean gatefold sleeve with vibrant colours. It has a small amount of ring wear on the back (which quite often occurs on the Pepper album sleeves). 

·        The original cut-out cardboard insert is fully intact [no marks on it at all] and is in lovely condition.

·        The original red and white / psych inner sleeve is fully intact – no splits or writing – and is in lovely condition. The disc has been kept housed in a separate white inner by me ever since I got it 40 years ago – to protect the original red and white psych inner sleeve.

·        The disc is in very clean condition with a nice sheen to the vinyl. It is visually in lovely EX/ EX- condition with some minor hairline surface marks on the vinyl. It plays really nicely! This LP has been kept in a plastic sleeve for the 40 years I have owned it.

·       I have test played the LP for this auction and both sides of the disc play beautifully with a full dynamic range on my hi-fi.

·        The matrix numbers are: Side 1: XEX 637-1. Side 2: XEX638-1.

·        Each of the two labels of the disc is in nice EX condition with only tiny spindle wear. The label has ‘THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD.’ & ‘SOLD IN U.K.’… text.  The KT tax code is present on the label on Side 2.

·        The SGT. PEPPER SPECIAL edition of The Beatles Monthly Book for June 1967 is in fabulous condition: it is very fresh and looks as good as when it was first published. This issue was wholly devoted to the album carrying many pictures and features – such as a track by track review of the new album and a feature on the Peter Blake album art. Fantastic stuff offering a truly contemporary 1967 view on the latest album from the Beatles.      

Overall this a VERY NICE EX- example of a MONO first press SGT. PEPPER’SLONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND: with the bonus of a fantastic condition 1967 issue of Beatles Monthly.
