Description

PLEASE READ FIRST!

I'm having to make this even clearer as people are still buying records I'm grading low and as a 'collection filler', and then complain about the audio quality when they try to play them. If you're looking for a copy to listen to then please look elsewhere.

As I VISUALLY GRADE my records I cannot guarantee that discs will be click, skip and noise free (although any marks that may cause such problems will be highlighted in the description).

All photos are of the actual item on sale. I do not use stock or 'borrowed' images.

THE BEATLES
The White Album

Very Rare Stereo 1st Press!

On offer here is a very rare complete stereo copy of the Beatles double LP 'The Beatles', more commonly known as the white album. This is the original UK press with numbered sleeve (0434388), top opening, black inners, poster and photos!

A very nice, clean, complete example of this awesome album!

Please check out large, detailed photos of this record at the bottom of this listing.

Title The Beatles (White Album) Year of Release 1968 Catalogue Number PCS 7067/8 Label Dark Apple with 'Sold in UK' statement Tax Code on Disc - Sleeve Manufacturer Garrod and Lofthouse Side 1 Matrix Number YEX 709-1 Side 2 Matrix Number YEX 710-1 Side 3 Matrix Number YEX 711-1 Side 4 Matrix Number YEX 712-1 Side 1 Stampers 1 / TH Side 2 Stampers 4 / GRG Side 3 Stampers 4 / GMG Side 4 Stampers 2 / A Sleeve Condition The sleeve is in VG++ condition. The sleeve is holding fine with just some light, general wear and tear. No splits or tears and the spine is holding fine. There's a little disc impression on the front and back and the sleeve has yellowed a little (The Cream Album?). Inside has also yellowed a little but is very clean with a shiny laminate. Overall looking pretty decent! Inner Sleeve Condition The inner sleeves are in VG condition. One sleeve is looking pretty flat and decent but has some small splits in the sides. The other is holding but looking a little more fragile and creased. Inserts Condition The photos are in G condition. All four photos are included but have suffered a little damage to the bottom - most noticeably Paul.

The poster is in VG+ condition. The poster is clean but looking a little creased and fragiler. No tears or splits, though.

Disc Condition
(VISUALLY GRADED) Disc 1 is in VG condition. The disc has a wonderfully crisp, clean shine to it and looks like it hasn't been played much at all. I would have easily graded this a solid EX. However, the disc has residue on it like it's been stored somewhere a little damp - nothing a professional clean couldn't easily sort out (I'll leave that up to the winning bidder). Other than that there is one noticeable scratch on side 2 at 7 o'clock that runs through at an angle on the opening track - about 1.5 inches long. I can feel it with my fingertip.

Disc 2 is in EX condition. The disc has an awesome, crisp shine to it and looks like it hasn't been played much at all. Would have graded this slightly higher but it has a little residue on the disc like the first disc, just not as much. Other than that, lovely, crisp shine with a few very light, barely visible scuffs here and there. Nice condition!

Label Condition The labels on disc 1 are in EX condition. Both labels are very clean with just a tiny bit of light spindlewear. Very nice labels!

The labels on disc 2 are in NM- condition. Both labels are near immaculate with just a little, very faint spindlewear on the side 3 label. Top labels!

All records have been
visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

My Vinyl Grading:

MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.
