Well, this is it folks. This is my last week of selling the big stuff on eBay! It's been a great 6 months and I hope there have been gaps in your collection that have now been filled. This week is my final push of some of the best records and memorabilia I have! Thank you all so much for following me!
Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.
Only The BeatlesVery Rare Promotional Heineken Can and FOUR Mint, Unplayed Cassettes in their Plastic Wrapping!
.,.. About the Item
In 1987 the UK beer company Heineken ran a rather surprising promotional unauthorised campaign that advertised a Beatles compilation album on cassette, titled 'Only The Beatles', that could be obtained by drinkers sending off four ring pull tabs along with £2.99.
The promotion began on June 1st and, just 17 days later, Apple Records intervened and the promotion was very swiftly halted, making the cassette an immediate collectible rarity.
This auction is for two items. The first is for an original 440ml Heineken can that's advertising this Beatles promotion and the other is for four of the original Only The Beatles cassettes that are still in their original manufacturers cellophane wrapping. The cassettes were originally sealed in packs of 20 up in this cellophane, so 16 of these tapes were taken and sent out and these remaining four stayed in the cellophane. These four cassettes have never even been opened and all of them are in immaculate, solid mint condition!
It's not too difficult to find the original cassette, but to find four of them still wrapped in their original distributers cellophane is near-impossible! And to have the original drinks can included as well!
Very rare and extremely collectible!

The can is looking really, really nice! There's no marking or rust or dents on the can and still retains its original, rich green colour. There's a little something on the base - I've taken a photo of to show this. The top is very clean and the can appears to be fully washed out and cleaned inside and has just a little discolouration inside on the bottom. But, overall, looking remarkable, especially since the vast majority of these cans were just thrown away.

The cellophane wrapping has creased and is dusty, looks like it's yellowed a little from age. The cassettes themselves however is all immaculate, as fresh as the day they were sealed after coming off the production line. Wow! Terms and Conditions + Shipping Information
