Description

THE BEATLES: YESTERDAY AND TODAY 3RD STATE PEELED BUTCHER COVER REPLICA. Capitol T2553 MONO.
with original inner sleeve and VG++ vinyl record!

This is not a recent Japanese reproduction of a pristine 1st state butcher cover, This is a painstaking replica of a hand-peeled 3rd state album complete with scratches, glue residue, etc. I acquired this from an underground record dealer in the late 70's or early 80's and have not seen anything quite like this since. A unique, collectible piece.

It appears that everything except the cover slick is 100% authentic. There is an approximately 8" split on the spine and 1"-2" splits on upper and lower corners. The "Capitol '66" inner sleeve has splits on 3 sides and a 1" tear on the top, but still looks great.

The LP itself is pretty clean; superficial scuffing and a few light scratches, but you can tell it hasn't been played all that much...and it's MONO! Different mixes, folks!

The most noticeable defect is where a price tag was peeled from the label. In a funny way, this "used and slightly abused" 30+ year old album looks more "real" than having a digitally recreated, flawless, perfect "fake" empty sleeve to hang on your wall.

Will combine shipping on multiple items.

Thanks!
