The BEATLES 45. Canada Capitol iconic Yellow-Orange Swirl Labels. Issued in 1963 from Canada’s Capitol label. The Beatles 2nd unique (non-US) single in Canada. This 45 Vinyl Condition is Goldmine EX. Nice and shiny and maybe a scuff or two, but very clean and plays thru very well. A great copy! And labels are clean too with minor wear! Very nice, no writing! EX!! Still awesome for 55 year old vinyl. Note: matrix numbers are somewhat unusual with no dashes or suffixes!! It also has the rare B Side error “7XCA” instead of standard “7XCE” prefix!!! So, a First Press, I thought, but further checking shows B Side Ask Me Why First Press should show “Dick James Ltd.” credit!! This one shows 3rd Press “Concertone Songs Inc.”. I THINK!!?? Anyways, SUPER Collectable from Canada. Here are 2 songs from the early Beatles: PLEASE PLEASE ME and ASK ME WHY. NOT issued as a Capitol single in US but shipped to Canada and released as this single to compete with the ultra-rare VJ 498 single in USA. This is one of the “Capitol Canada Nine”, singles on the Yellow/Orange Swirl labels that were NOT released on Capitol in USA. (This ACTUALLY was also on US VeeJay in 1963, (so rare I don’t have it yet!!!). ALSO: this includes an original Canada Capitol Company Sleeve graded EX, wrinkled but otherwise super (Canada Capitol used very thin paper, tissue like). Starting with I want To Hold Your Hand, both countries released the same singles, till 1970!! Both sides here are MONO as are all the Canada Capitol Beatles 45s until Get Back. Stereo did not become common on 45s till 1969!
