THE BEATLES

"A Hard Day's Night" b/w "Things we said today"

 (Parlophone R5160)

UK 1st Red & White Demo (w/KT tax codes)

This record is one of 5 records I'm auctioning this week, on behalf of the former Office boy at Brian Epstein's NEMS  office in London  (circa 1966-7).

This and the other items listed this week, were given to him by Brian Epstein when clearing out an old cupboard in the office. He was told "he could have them, or to throw them away"........thankfully he kept them. At this stage I have no documentary proof I can supply to guarantee their background, but I have seen the rest of his collection ( which providing these sell for what they're worth, he'll get me to sell) and I am 100% convinced that they are bona-fida.

But without the proof, I must sell as seen!

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the rarity and value of this item, I have decided to make it a Private Auction.

Check out my other Auctions on Ebay. I am currently auctioning items from two interesting sources; First   are a few items from Brian Epstein's office boy at NEMS in 1966-7 (UK demo 45's) . (He's asked me to test the water with these items, and then will consider auctioning many desirable items (I have seen) which include a couple of complete sets of Beatles autographs (circa 1966-7), His contract of employment signed by Brian, Brian Epsteins draft script for "Work is a four letter Word", various demo records and promotional materials and memorabilia from the Beatles US tours............and all this stuff was given to him over 18 months by Brian Epstein! I am 100% sure their origins are as stated, but (as yet) can offer no documentary proof so they are sold with no guarantee on background.   Second are a collection of UK demo 45s and other rare records, from a 60's record plugger (mostly EMI related....Parlophone, Columbia, Stateside, Tamla Motown etc) in lovely condition.

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any inserts are in perfect condition.

The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging have only slight wear or creasing.
