THE BEATLES
"ABBEY ROAD"
1969 1st UK Pressing on
APPLE PCS 7088
YEX 749-2 & YEX 750-1
MISALIGNED APPLE LOGO ON REAR COVER
NO 'HER MAJESTY' ON SLEEVE BUT HAS THE RARE CORRECTED HER MAJESTY ON LABEL - MOST 2/1 MATRIX NUMBER 1ST PRESSINGS OMITTED THIS FROM THE LABEL.
Cover: Excellent+. 1st pressing with the misaligned Apple logo. Laminated front and rear Garrod & Lofthouse cover. No writings/doodles or seam splits. Nice clear spine. Minor laminate creasing only.
Inner sleeve: White 'Apple' inner sleeve with outer side flaps. VG+ - just a minor repairable seam split at the base.
Labels: Mint. Has the corrected 'Her Majesty' on the end track of Side 2 which is very rare for a 2/1 matrix pressing. Only the last few 1st pressings had the corrected version - most 1st pressings omitted Her Majesty from the label.
Vinyl: Thick heavy duty 1st pressing vinyl. I played this before listing and it looks and plays Near Excellent. Has two light hairlines. A little crackle during the run-in on both sides, a little in between tracks and occasionally during the quieter tracks. No skips/jumps.
Matrix Numbers: Earliest possible matrices - YEX 749-2/YEX 750-1.
