BEATLES “ABBEY ROAD” 1969 UK APPLE FIRST ISSUE – ABSOLUTELY PERFECT AUDIO!
No “Her Majesties” credited to side 2 record label or sleeve
I continue to sell items from my personal collection... Here we have A HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE example of The Beatles First Issue UK Vinyl LP, 'Abbey Road', released by EMI/Apple records on 26 September 1969 on the custom DARK GREEN APPLE label, with 'Apple Records' label rim , 'Manufacturedd in UK' label text and WITHOUT ‘Her Majesty’ credited to the side 2 record label or sleeve. Housed in original heavy laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. Vinyl weight: 160g
Matrix numbers & Mother Stampers
Side 1: YEX 749-2 OG V4
Side 2: YEX 750-1 APR 8
VINYL SOUND QUALITY: MINT - This album has been stored for over 20 years. The album plays superbly all the way through on both sides, with the stereo reproduction just crisp and clean with every note being heard exactly how it was intended. No background crackle, no clicks, skips or jumps at all. No vinyl noise and no static - just the very odd semi second here and there. For me the play quality is MINT!. A beautiful copy in top condition! (I have graded according to the Rare Record Price Guide).
VINYL APPEARANCE: A really glossy, jet black disc that has lost none of its original lustre. In daylight it looks superb and flawless with a gleaming sheen to the surface. Angling the disc into stronger light reveals a few light hairlines, none of which affect the superb audio (as described above)
LABELS: The Apple labels are in pristine condition. The colours are rich and vibrant and remain un-rubbed. The typeface is perfectly legible, and the spindle hole unworn. I cannot see any spider lines around the holes even using a magnifying glass.
SLEEVE: Considering the age of this item, cover is graded as VG+. Spine is perfect, with no marks or scuffs and lettering is legible. Top edge is fine apart from shallow split of approximately 25mm. Bottom edge has a scuff of approximately 20mm. Slight wear to bottom left and right corners. Slight storage discolouration at top of front cover. Back of cover is excellent with a few small light creases. (I have graded conservatively according to the Rare Record Price Guide)
This is a cherished example of this collectable, original and iconic UK Beatles **FIRST ISSUE**Album with a really strong and powerful Stereo sound quality!
