Description
The first edition cassette release of The Beatles " Abbey Road" 1969 - 1970, in very good condition. Played throughout and in perfect sound both sides.
Clean inlay with NO writing or stains. A small scuff to the inside of the inlay - barely noticeable. Lime green paper labels with no raising of the labels, and with no EMI/Parlophone black box logo. All Abbey Road cassettes were without the logo, almost certainly because of the dispute between EMI and the Beatles record label, Apple.
The first edition can be identified by the elementary newspaper-like print design with the album cover extending to the very bottom of the front of the inlay, the full artwork of the vinyl LP front and back cover, the circular 1&7/8ths i.p.s. denotation at the top of the spine. The lime green paper labels have the "This stereo musicassette gives genuine monaural reproduction" denotation to the bottom left on both sides. A rare item.
Played throughout both sides and perfect.
