Description
"The Beatles At The Beeb" (Beeb Transcription Records) is a wonderful and long out-of-print 14 LP set, chronicling the group's live in-studio performances for the BBC. The collection features very good to excellent mono sound. The beautiful sleeves are complete with liner notes and meticulous attention to detail. The chronological sequencing of the shows, bantering with the hosts and theme songs ("Pop Go The Beatles") provide a true feel of the actual programs and the euphoria of early Beatlemania. The vinyl is is in like-new condition; many of the LPs have only been play-tested prior to this listing. Aside from a few minor corner bumps, the covers are in near-perfect shape as well. They have been stored properly in resealable plastic sleeves. There are two versions of Vol. 1 - all of the other LPs are unique. The Beatles recorded many songs only for the BBC (Some Other Guy, Too Much Monkey Business, I Got To Find My Baby, A Shot Of Rhythm & Blues, etc,). It's nice to hear them in context alongside their hits. An intact set of these albums doesn't come along very often, especially in this condition. Thank you and good luck!
