Ever wanted to buy a genuine and much rarer Stereo Butcher Cover but didn't want to spend $1000 ? Here's your chance. For less than $800 Buy It Now or possibly less than $700 if you want to take a chance and bid the old fashion way , you can own this and amaze your friends ,guests, clients ,etc.
As a general rule, stereo Butcher Covers that don't look like they are ready for the trash rarely show up , but when they do, they generally command premium prices. It has been many months since I have offered a decent Stereo Butcher . These are becoming much harder to come by these days.
Keep in mind that Stereo Butcher Covers are at least 5 to 10 times more scarce than their mono counterparts.Even if you own another Butcher Cover, this is a great opportunity to buy a much rarer Stereo peel ! You will find people paying up to $400 for crummy mono peels. I've thrown in a Buy It Now price in case somebody just has to have this right away.This is a guaranteed original 1966 Capitol 3rd state Stereo Butcher cover.
Overall, this is a nice peel and displays well . There are a few minor condition issues. The biggest is that the bottom seam has several inches of chipping and splitting which has been neatly repaired. The top seam and spine are decent with some edge chipping. The spine writing is all there (see photo). There are a few tiny pick spots on the edges in the top corners of the Butcher slick and on the mouth edge, but overall, this piece as a whole presents very well. Any other touch up, Capitol factory glue lines from the paste over process, is minimal. Please look at the photos , what you see is what you get.
Sorry, but there is no record or inner sleeve included in this auction. The removed trunk slick is as shown mostly in one piece w/wear and tear from the peel.
Please consider all factors prior to bidding. While this may not be the piece for the super picky collector ,it still is a killer piece for somebody to display to blow people's minds !
